Wise Acne Skin Care Tips ~

Cure Acne Fast!

Believe me, when I was a teenager it was embarrassing to walk into those well lit classrooms for all to see what was on my face! I hated the light, and made sure none were on when I was at home, but having brothers that were on to me. The lights didn't stay off for long.

From teenagers to adults, we all get to deal with zits and pimples at some time in our lives - but we can do something about it even before the acne starts to develop. The first defense is recognizing that you have acne, and not picking the blemishes. Picking causes scarring, and will last your entire life. So, no picking.

One of the acne skin care tips that you can keep in mind is to regularly clean your skin with mild cleansers. Make sure that you are cleaning your skin, especially your face, with mild soap or cleansers to avoid irritating it.  No scrubbing, no grainy scrubs just gentle cleansers and a soft wash cloth or just use clean hands and warm water with a gentle cleanser. Gentle is key. The cause of Acne is not from dirt, per se, but from overproduction of oil gland secretion due to hormone fluctuations; hence, puberty is when you start to get the pimples.

To add insult to injury, the skins cells turn over rapidly as you are growing, and mix with the oil secreting from the oil glands, then all the debris buildup causes the blockage. The tips and tricks are not about diet, but rather about keeping the blockage from occurring, or unblocking the blockage. One of the ways to unblock or unplug by using some of the exfoliation products that are used nowadays.

First of all, exfoliation is about removing the top most layer of already turned over dead skin cells. There is manual exfoliation.  Oatmeal, as a mask you can add a little warm water to the oatmeal and apply oatmeal directly to the face as a mask for five minutes before cleansing. You can combine a few tablespoons of oatmeal in cheesecloth, dampen the cloth and gently move the cloth over the surface of your skin.

Always seek out a Licensed Dermatologist for use of products and what will be best for you and your skin type

Then there is chemical exfoliation which can include glycolic and lactic acids derived from fruit or milk. To weaken the connection to the old skin cells and the facial surface. These are well known chemical exfoliants , Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Beta Hydroxy Acids. Here are some examples of Alpha Hydroxy acids:

• Lactic acid (from sour milk)

• Malic acid (from apples)

• Glycolic acid (from sugar cane)

• Tartaric acid (from grapes)

• Salicylic acid (derived from the bark of a willow tree)

Then there is enzymatic exfoliation an enzyme skin exfoliation can be used to treat sensitive skin, these skincare products dissolve dead skin cells without you having to scrub your skin, reducing the amount of irritation that can occur. Products can include powders, pads, masks, and cleansers and may be used for acne treatment.

So, if you are like so many teenagers or adults that continue to be bothered with acne. Exfoliation methods prescribed by a dermatologist, can determine what is best for your skin type, and what schedule he or she may set up for your regime at home. As long as you haven't picked at the skin so severely, and caused a secondary infection under the skin, there shouldn't be any need for antibiotics, but talk with a dermatologist, after all that is what they specialize in.
